This is a collection of 3 different era note pads that were
given as advertising premiums most likely in the 50's. They all measures about 2 1/2" x 4
1/2" and have all blank pages intact with top plastic binding. They are as follows...
Gold colored note pad with image of building on the cover has
some smudges but nothing torn or written in.
The cover reads: New A.A.L. Home Office Building Appleton,
Wisconsin. The inside of the pad reads:
50th Anniversary 1902-1952 Faithful Service to Synodical Conference Lutheran
Families for Half a Century, AID
ASSOCIATION FOR LUTHERANS APPLETON, WISCONSIN.
The inside back cover has an advertisement of services.
Gray cardboard covered pad that dates pre-1952 is in good
shape with no writing or torn pages but a small blue smudge on the cover. It
reads in a blue circle: AID ASSOCIATION FOR LUTHERANS LEGAL RESERVE LIFE
INSURANCE. The inside cover has a list
of services and the back inside cover has a list of gifts for Wedding
Anniversaries.
Beige cardboard covered pad has a photo image of the 10
story office building as well but is probably older than the 1952 pad as it's
not a rendering but a photo. Front of the
pad in addition to the name reads: This modern 10 story office building houses
a growing Home Office Staff needed to keep pace with the steady tremendous
growth of the A.A. L. Inside cover has a
descriptive ad and the back inside cover has a list of Wedding Anniversaries
and Birthstones.
Buyer will pay $5 to ship these old goodies.
