BARBIE CREATION BY VINCE NOWELL 

I am the original owner and received this special doll as an attendee of the 1998 Barbie Cruise event. This lovely brunette nostalgic repro Barbie will come to you wearing her fun summertime fashion which includes her blouse, capri pants with tiny gold buttons, white tennies, 'pearl' earrings, and broad-brimmed black straw hat. Additional accessories include her 'straw' tote bag and  the many items still in the original packaging - long skirt, chiffon scarf, golden clutch, rose, and a Barbie-scaled non-functional camera - nearly perfect for making memories while dining at the Captain's table. 

Vince Nowell is a renowned fashion designer and also created many fashions for Gene and Tonner dolls as well. 

Please note blouse fabric may be slightly faded due to its age and Barbie's ponytail upper and lower rubber bands have split. No pressure but this doll looks wonderful posed with the Just Her Style Barbie I just listed a few minutes ago. 

No guarantee as I've not actually ever removed this fashion but did notice the tiny snaps fastening Barbie's blouse so it appears that this fashion can be removed - and may even fit Barbie Silkstone or even Fashion Royalty. Of course the accessories would work.

As a long-time Staff Writer for the much-missed Barbie Bazaar Magazine, I've been involved in doll collecting since 1995. Many of the dolls being offered here in my eBay store are the actual dolls I photographed for my regular column, 'Barbie Buyline'.    

Most of these dolls are Special Editions no longer available except on the secondary market. They are primarily NRFB (Never Removed From Box) unless otherwise indicated. (MIB) Mint In Box on my listings means displayed but not played with. Dolls have been maintained in a shaded, climate-controlled, pet-free zone in a non-smoking home. I'm a selective collector so boxes are in overall excellent condition with minimal shelf wear unless otherwise noted.

New listings will be added almost daily. Fashions, accessories, and Hallmark ornaments will also be listed. While I offer a more varied selection and lower prices than most others, I generally have only one of each item.
