A man with many faces
"Many faces" - rarely the name of the series fit as well as in the case of David Bowie. Hardly any artist changed styles so often in the course of his career, be it musically or externally. It is not for nothing that he was also called the chameleon of pop music.
After "many faces of David Bowie" appeared on CD four years ago, shortly after the death of the rock legend, record lovers finally enjoy this special collection in 2020.
In the past, the successful Many-Faces-of series of the Label Music Brokers has already devoted itself to numerous great artists, including Elvis, The Doors, Genesis, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Joy Division, Deep Purple and the Rolling Stones and illuminated their world a little more precisely.
In cooperation with some of Bowie's closest colleagues, including friends, musicians and producers, this comprehensive collage of the singer was created. There are various, sometimes rare and unknown works of, for or with David Bowie.
"Many Faces of David Bowie" impressively shows the many facets of his artistic work on two LPS, be it as a singer, live musician, producer or guest musician. Among the 20 tracks are cover versions of its original songs such as "All The Young Dudes" by Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson and some songs produced by Bowie such as the live version of Iggy Pops "Sister Midnight", where he played. Also included: songs that were of great importance for David Bowie, for example "Waiting for the Man" by The Velvet Underground and "La Mort" by Jacques Brel.
The other musical guests on the album include The Spiders from Mars , Chuck Berry, The Yardbirds and David's ex -wife Angie Bowie.
