Still 100 % ozzy

Ozzy Osbourne had been waiting for his fans for ten years for his last album. With his successor it was now significantly faster and so "patient number 9" appears just two years after the last album, fittingly on September 9th.

On the one hand, the Prince of Darkness was able to spend the time in the studio that he had planned for his great "No more Tours II" subscription tour. On the other hand, one hears, Ozzy Osbourne was so enthusiastic about working with producer Andrew Watt on the last album that he could hardly wait to collaborate again.

"Patient Number 9" has 13 new ozzy songs to offer and is also pleasantly abundant with a good hour of play. The list of well -known guest musicians who have given themselves the proverbial jack are also filled to the bursting. The opening title track, at the same time the first single of the album, has a real top -class carpenter on board with Jeff Beck. Mr. Osbourne also sees it this way: »Having someone like Jeff Beck on my album is just incredible, a great honor. There is no other guitarist who plays like Jeff and his solo on ›Patient Number 9‹ lets you work down. «Other guests on the six strings are Mike McCreeady (Pearl Jam), Ozzy-Intimus Zakk Wylde, Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Eric Clapton and Black Sabbaths Toni IMMI, the By the way, helps for the first time on an Ozzy Osbourne solo album. JIMMY Page was also asked for a collaboration, but was thankfully rejected.

Ozzy Osbourne's former solid bass player Rob Trujillo (today Metallica) and Guns-N '-Roses-deep tones Duff McKagan share the bass work. Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Taylor Hawkins, the recently deceased drummer of the Foo Fighters, recorded the drums on "Patient Number 9".

But most importantly remains that "patient Number 9" has become a 100 % Ozzy Osbourne album despite the large number of those involved. The typical ozzy sound is unmistakably available, which makes the previously published singles clear. It is to be hoped that the Prince of Darkness can present the new songs to its fans live soon.
