The title »Sabotage« refers to Black Sabbath's legal disputes with the former Manger Patrick Mehan. Of this 10 months overshadowed the recordings and shaped the mood. Under the production of guitarist Tony Iommi - back in England - a direct, aggressive sound was used. Tony Iommi explained that it was part of the concept to return to the "Rock" N ‹Roll«. Coverartwork is considered one of the worst in rock history, the band to have believed that it was trial recordings, which is why there was no value on the wardrobe.
