The English New Wave band Bow Wow Wow was founded in 1980 by Malcolm McLaren. McLaren was an impresario and above all known as a manager of the New York Dolls and the Sex Pistols. He recruited members of Adam and the Ants to support 13-year-old singer Annabella Lwin. A year later they published their debut album at RCA Records entitled "See Jungle! Lake Jungle! Go Join Your Gang Yeah! City all over! Go Ape Crazy! "In the opening up of the album, the band played in the USA for The Pretenders and The Police, in Europe for Queen and in Japan for Madness. Vive Le Rock chose the album to one of the 50 best New Wave albums, and the single "Go Wild in the Country" contained on it was her first top 10 hit in Great Britain.
The cover photo shows the band how to add the painting "Le Déjeuner Sur L'Arbe" by Édouard Manet, on which 14-year-old Annabella poses naked. The photo caused outrage, but the initial investigation by Scotland Yard ran in the sand.
"See Jungle! Lake Jungle! Go Join Your Gang Yeah! City all over! Go ape crazy! "Is available in a limited edition of 2000 individually numbered specimens on green & yellow marbled vinyl.
