The Swedish Symphonic Metal legend Therion publish another masterpiece with their new studio album "Leviathan III" and complete their "Leviathan" trilogy. The band around Mastermind Christofer Johnsson, founded over 35 years ago, was one of the first to combine metal with orchestral elements in the 1990s and is now considered one of the most stylish acts in the symphonic metal. Now Therion continues her cross-style musical journey with the third part of the "Leviathan" trilogy, which appears via Napalm Records.

The album begins with the powerful "Ninkigal", which catapults the listener directly into the musical universe of Therion. The sophisticated composition is supplemented by the dramatic opera vocals by Lori Lewis, which is alternated with dark growling and underlined by catchy melodies. This is followed by "Ruler of Tamag", which enchants the listener with an acoustic guitar intro and female singing before the track merges into a dark and heavy passage that builds up to a cinematic symphony.

Therion has always been characterized by their fearless courage to combine a wide variety of music styles and so on "Leviathan III" of classic Symphonic Metal with melodic Death Metal, Neo-Classic elements and power metal are interwoven, for example, which their listeners challenge at "Twilight of the Gods". The song is a wall made of epic symphonic metal and always finds a balanced mix between guitars, choir and orchestra. "Unsung Lament" and "Baccanale" cheese cheers at high speed and impress with rousing melodies, which result in a fascinating mix with classic rock elements, captivating texts and choirs. The lively "Maleficium" delivers an exciting duet between Thomas Vikström and Lori Lewis, while the psychedelic »Ayahuasca« takes you to strangers with the hypnotizing male choir. Tracks such as the rapid "NUMMO" offer the core competence of Therion with hard guitar explosions, first -class classic singing and choirs.

With the great variety of various musical styles and elements that are represented on »Leviathan III«, Therion let the boundaries between metal and classical music blur again.
