"This complete album box set was removed for vinyl at half speed, under the supervision of the band in the Abbey Road Studios.
This box set contains newly mastered versions of all previous studio albums from Sade on pure black 180g vinyl - the first complete collection of your studio work to this day. All six celebrated albums of the band: "Diamond Life" (1984), "Promise" (1985), "Stronger Than Pride" (1988), "Love Deluxe" (1992), "Lovers Rock" (2000) and "Soldier of Love" (2010) are packed in the beautifully processed, white cardboard packaging.
When revising the Audio, the band and Miles Showell worked from high-resolution digital transmissions of the stereo masters mixtures from the original studio recordings, which were removed at half speed in Abbey Road Studios. The elaborate mastering process at half speed has created an exceptionally clean and detailed tone without affecting the sound intended by the band. In the mastering process, no additional digital limiting was used, so that the six albums benefit from the advantage of additional clarity and pure sound adherence and the dynamic range of the original mixtures is preserved for the very first time.
The six albums were reproduced meticulously and in detail with authentic paper and printing processes and for the first time since their original publication.
It is important that the box set includes six albums (a total of 58 titles), but the box itself offers space for seven albums, including a foam insert with a laser -etched question mark. The title This Far also indicates that the work of the band may not be complete ... ".
Reviews
»Technically, the specialist from Abbey Road Studios Miles Showell has created a hand when masting and lacquer film cuts of the LPS at half speed (Half Speed Mastering). He dispensed with compression - especially with the early LPS you are amazed at the immense dynamics. (...) The cover version of ›Why Can't We Live Together‹ (Timmy Thomas) shows absolute special class, although the much better sound also comes into play compared to the LP version of Music on Vinyl. «(Good Times, December 2020/January 2021)
