Velvett Fogg is a psychedelic rock band from Birmingham, England. In the late 1960s, they were one of the many new bands from the Birmingham Underground scene that attempted to bring pop and rock music to a higher level of creativity. They received a record contract from Pye Records, through which they published their first and only studio album "Velvett Fogg".

The original release was accompanied by a quote from the British DJs John Peel, who commented that "there is a lot of good music on this record. Note Velvett Fogg - you will hear the name again. "However, despite positive reviews, the album was not as commercially successful as expected and the band soon dissolved. Since then, the album has become a coveted collector's item.

Now it is available as a limited first edition of 1,000 individually numbered specimens on Purple Vinyl.
