We go to estate sales regularly and come across a wide array of unique and rare items.  We add to our growing online inventory daily.  We pick up new items from all over the world and all over the US.  We also have a growing customer wish list.  If you'd like to, feel free to add us to your saved seller's list and let us know what you collect and/or need.  We’d be honored to add you to our customer wish list.

We ask what we consider to be a fair price for anything we sell and understand that our idea of a fair price may be someone else's 'that's too much' price.  If that's the case, feel free to make us an offer and will consider it.  We also have sales regularly, so check back often.

There is always a Sale by TheBay!

Now onto the item for sale.

For sale is a full vending box of 1980 Topps baseball cards.

PLEASE NOTE:  We are selling three more vending boxes of 1980 Topps, all listed separately, and we're also selling two boxes from several other years.  If you're looking for other vending boxes or another one of these, we're always happy to combine shipping if you're looking for any others.

The potential value of this vending box is exceptionally high given the book values of PSA 10s from this set.  A Rickey Henderson PSA 10 just climbed in value to $125,250 and a Nolan Ryan PSA 10 just increased to $7,875.

Obviously, there are only 500 of the 726 cards in the 1980 Topps baseball set in this box, but you will definitely get quite a few of the cards worth sending to a professional grading service.

I've been collecting primarily baseball cards since I bought my first pack in 1978 at 5 years old growing up in California.  I've purchased dozens of collections over the decades and have amassed quite a large, extensive and very cool collection of baseball cards, memorabilia and autographs.  The only difference now is that I've been able to do so with my 23 year old son since he was about 5 years old as well.

As you can see in the pictures above, I have several cases of vending boxes that I got down in Orlando in a large collection before my son was born.  I got cases for 1980 through 1985 Topps and 1981 through 1985 Fleer and all of them were still glued shut.  I rented a covered Uhaul trailer and drove down to Orlando, Florida in my SUV to pay for and pick up the collection.  The gentleman had everything well stored in closets and on shelves in a couple bedrooms.  I've had these boxes stored in my hallway closet ever since.

Since my son and I are looking at buying yet another excellent collection loaded with the cards I love from the 70s on back, I figured we may as well sell some of our collection from the 1980s.  We come across 1980s stuff much more often than we do the 1950s and back and I am certain that we'll see these again too and I'm keeping more than enough of each year anyhow.

Given that these cards have been well kept in a climate controlled environment for the last 42 years, we trust they are in as mint condition as one can find and this box should have plenty of cards that would be worth sending off to PSA or another grading service.  Personally, we only use PSA for grading since their 9s and 10s are worth quite a bit more than the same grades from other grading services.

If you're looking for a great opportunity to improve the condition of cards in your set, to help complete a set, to improve your collection, or to get cards to send to a professional grading service, this is a perfect opportunity.

This box will weigh a little under 3 pounds when packed for shipping.  We offer several FULLY insured shipping options at NO extra cost to the buyer, just make your selection at checkout.

Thanks for looking and God bless!
