These tie downs have been stripped and zinc plated to deter rust.
This is a pair of original Ford rear frame tie down brackets which were bolted to the existing holes through the frame just in behind of the rear end, in front of rear spring hanger. These holes already exist in your frame. These brackets were used to tie the rear of the car down on the either rail car transport or the truck transporter from the Ford factory to the dealership. They were then supposed to be removed by the Ford dealer during predelivery preparation and then returned to the factory for reuse. This is a left and right side.
These brackets are not reproduced and did come on all 1965 1966 1967 1968 1969 1970 Mustang models and all 1967 1968 1969 1970 Mercury Cougar models. These are the short ones, for single exhaust. They are easily installed through your existing frame mount holes and are real handy for tying your car to a car hauler or trailer.
They require basic nuts and bolts to install.
