An original signed wood engraving by Clare Leighton titled "Picking Strawberries" and numbered III/XXX. This beautiful engraving was one of the engravings she produced for her most famous book, "Four Hedges", first published in 1935. This engraving appeared on p.49 of the book (see last image). 

This fine impression is printed on smooth Japanese paper and would have been printed by Leighton herself from the original block. The sheet size is 14.5cm x 16cm. Signed and titled by Leighton in pencil. Presented in a conservation grade mount measuring 20cm x 22cm. Some corner creases to the top edge.
