Unimatic Modello Quattro U4S-KNT

For those unfamiliar with Unimatic, they are an Italian-based micro brand making some of the best value and coolest dive watches in the market for under 3k. Great build quality, understated styling, and very clean design-language have made Unimatic a hit with both new and seasoned watch collectors and their releases usually sell out very quickly indeed.

This version is known as the U4S, and while being visually quite similar to the U4 it is based on, the S suffix indicates it now houses a Sellita SW200 movement which has trimmed the case height down from 13.4mm to just 12.4mm.

This particular reference is U4S-KNT, and is a collaboration between Unimatic and Kiton New Textures, an Italian fashion house known for their innovations in textures and colours. It features 40mm steel case that has been DLC coated, with 300m of water resistance. This black treatment has extended to the dial, which is sterile other than the 3 lines of text, and has been topped with hands filled with KNT blue Superluminova, which matches the KNT blue TPU  strap. 

It is powered by the aforementioned Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, and also comes with special KNT-based coloured nato straps in vinaccia and international orange with black hardware, as well as a standard Unimatic black nato strap with brushed hardware.

This this particular example presents in TZ 'Near Mint' condition. The case shows some marks on the outer edge of the bezel between 5 and 6, and one at 11, and a tiny mark on the side of the lower right lug, but that's about it. Caseback sticker has some scratches, but these are on the sticker, not the caseback. Please see images for full condition details.

Includes Unimatic box, warranty card (expired), booklet, veneccia nato, orange nato, black nato and Barton Bands rubber strap. These originally came with blue, black with black hardware and yellow but these are not included.
