Shadow Moth
Birthday September 8th, 2025

Late summer moth with glinting eyes
Spots a distant yellow dot
Last stop before dark.
It seems fuzzy, like her. It must be a friend.

The base of this art doll is a Monster High G3 Abbey Bominable.  Repainting of her face was done in layers of chalk pastels, watercolor pencils, and acrylic paint- sealed with MSC.  Her hair is re-rooted with black nylon, it is about 13" long.

Shadow Moth's outfit features:
- a navy blue knit minidress with a front "belly" applique made from printed cotton, yarn, and sequins (Velcro closure in back)
- a furry grey collar of brushed yarn
- two furry blue wrist cuffs of brushed yarn
- high heel wedge shoes in silver and dark teal with fuzzy antennae and silver butterfly appliques (wire, fabric, apoxy sculpt, paint)

Accessories include:
- fabric moth wings, removeable and somewhat posable (wire frame)
- earrings featuring tiny blue fuzzballs and silver butterflies
- blue fuzzy antennae that poke in like earrings behind her horns
- a cocoon inspired handbag  with butterfly and glass bead charms (opens!)

Shadow Moth is poseable, and redressable!  However, she is an ART DOLL- not made for children- she is not meant to be heavily played with, more for display and occasional redressing. Every piece of clothing is removable and handmade by me, as well as the accessories. I will include a care sheet with her.  She comes in her own doll box, complete with a stand and a Certificate of Authenticity.

About Emily:
I know this 'bio' is supposed to be all professional and concise, probably not in the first person, and certainly not full of ramblings. But...that isn't who I am. I am...Emily White. I do things, lots of things, with my time, art being one of them. I also have a full time job working in a local restaurant (as a cook), I teach zombie defense classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and train rabbits how to polka on Saturdays. I love to sleep, but I don't do it too often. I love cartoons, and candy, and balloons... but for some reason the mention of scones can often send me into a fit of rage. I am magical. Also, taking me too seriously can be hazardous to your health.

I have been selling my art (mainly online) for 20 years now. There are pieces I have created in personal and public collections all over the world- no lie! It's so cool to know that there are little parts of me living happily in places I can only imagine. I don't know why I create, it is just a part of who I am. I like to refer to it as "letting my hands sing" because the rest of my family is musically inclined, and I never was.
