We offer a proven, brand new modified disc
drive to convert, save or backup Blu-ray 4K UHD discs to a hard drive, to
enable you to play Blu-ray discs on a PC monitor, laptop and smartphone, or to
retrieve them later from a hard drive.
The drive is
brand new and was removed from its packaging solely for the purpose of flashing
the modified firmware and testing that it performs perfectly.
This is a genuine LG drive with the official unlocked firmware that has been thoroughly tested. The drive will read 4K Blu-ray discs.
The bonus utilities DVD, which we supply includes the free version of MakeMKV software which will allow you to rip 4k discs for 30 days. This will allow you sufficient time to evaluate the whole package.
After 30 days, you would need to buy a licence from the program's developer to continue using MakeMKV.
We offer a 30-day warranty where you can return the drive for a FULL
REFUND if it doesn't work as listed.

It reads 3D Blu-Ray, and will read and burn BD-XL
discs which makes it an excellent choice for backing up more data.

new BU40N Blu-Ray player, originally equipped
from the factory with the later firmware depending on the date of manufacture
This later firmware version
1.03 prevented the reading, copying or saving UHD 4K Blu-ray discs.
The
drive, we offer has been modified with specialist software to the earlier
version firmware 1.02 which now allows our drive to read, copy and save 4K Blu-ray
discs for your own personal use.
