Note - only the pickup (microphone), cable and adapters with blocking screws for neck installation are supplied (Type  E).  Necks shown are only used to show how the supplied adapters may be installed.

The PiezoBarrel V1 is a professional saxophone pickup that can be used with a Tenor or Bari Sax to provide high quality natural sound and to drive guitar effect units for live performance.  The V1 is brighter in sound than the PiezoBarrel P7 and provides a natural sax sound with a flat response.  

This pickup comes with a brass adapter for soldering onto a tenor or bari sax neck.  For neck installation, the supplied adapter is soldered onto the top of the neck between the mouthpiece and the register key and then a small hole (2.5mm diameter) has to be drilled into the bore of the instrument neck in order to pick up the sound.  The adapter come with a thumb screw with O ring to seal the hole when the pickup is not being used.
