New old stock. We purchased these engines new about 22 years ago. Although they have been stored in air-conditioning the decoders have been affected by age. This engine will most likely need a newer made decoder replaced in it to function with DCC properly. The cost is around $40.00 for a new decoder. We have dropped the price of these DCC Ready engines to still make this a good deal when a new decoder is in it. We do not deal with decoders or installation.
These came from the factory with Rapido Couplers installed.
