1917 special delivery cover from New York, NY to Indianapolis, IN.  At top center, the cover has a hand-written notation "Special Delivery," and at bottom center, it has two handstamps reading "1481" and "Fee Claimed at Indianapolis, Ind. P.O."  On the front, the cover is postmarked with two cancellations reading July 1, 1917 (New York Fox Street), and on the reverse, it has two cancellations reading July 1, 1917 (New York, NY Penn. Term. Sta. Rec'd) and July 2, 1917 (Indianapolis, Ind. Rec'd), as well as an oval handstamp reading "418."  It is franked with one 2c and two 5c stamps.  The cover is in overall good condition.  It is a Very Fine piece ready to enhance any collection of U.S. postal history, particularly of New York or Indiana.
