Rare Vintage ‘The Little Prince’ Tote Bag – 2011

Antoine de Sant-Exupéry's masterpiece, "Le Petit Prince," inspired the new Leitmotiv capsule collection for Furla Talent Hub, launched for Spring/Summer 2011. The theme of travel, interfaced realistically and metaphorically, emerges from the illustrated and poetic pages of one of the most beloved books of the 20th century, becoming a fashion design for a line of bags and accessories.

A baobab tree, a fox who longed to be tamed even at the cost of suffering, and a rose in need of attention, who claimed to be the only one of its kind in the entire universe.

What makes "Le Petit Prince" truly special? A story structured as a children's book and first published in 1943, the author's ability to describe, with disarming simplicity and through surreal dialogues between the characters, the true meaning of life, complex feelings that often leave men and women speechless, such as friendship and love.

The "The Little Prince" Collection by Leitmotiv for Furla Talent Hub, in turn, evokes candor, the excitement of discovery, immateriality, and the metaphorical component of the journey that redefines the concept of travel, through soft shades and the predominance of the color beige. The prints retrace an adventure of discovery of the world and of oneself, through the representation of the symbolic figures that have marked it: a rose, a wolf, a cactus.

The collection, interesting for its literary references, hopefully, it will inspire reading the masterpiece in question.

We recommend pairing the bag with a solid white, green, or gray dress for the white-background bags, or a biscuit-colored dress for the others depicting an encounter with the fox, which are decidedly less successful and also less suitable for the summer season.

CONDITIONS:

Excellent condition, minor signs of wear visible in photos: a couple of marks inside and on the surface outside as shown in the last few pics.
