This is an extremely well constructed English Victorian Bookslide of good size proportions, mid Nineteenth Century, of outstanding quality.  It's condition in the main is excellent, there is one long scratch (~7cm long) on one end but it's not very deep and a few other minor marks.  The velvet base is quite worn in places.  I've tried to flag all the flaws in photos.

Has hinged folding bookends with inlay decoration.  Bookends slide in and out to create book storage gap that ranges from minimum of 30.5cm to maximum width of 50cm.
