Austro-Prussian War period. Gilt bronze, size 11 3/4 with 3.1mm band flaring to the rooco scroll and shell decorated shoulders. Raised shield shaped bezel with central cartouche on reeded ground. These were often dated with a monogram, but absent here. These rings were fashionable at the time particularly among Austrian soldiers.
