Offered for sale is a used, Custom Vintage 1954 Ertl 1:16th Scale John Deere Model 40C Agricultural Crawler Tractor. This vintage JD crawler is used and was played with moderately. The exhaust was broken, and the steering levers were missing.  The crawler was disassembled, sanded, repainted, decaled and reassembled. New rubber tracks, muffler and levers were added. Please look carefully at the pictures for additional details concerning condition. I sell all items as is. The actual 23 horsepower tractor was produced by John Deere from 1953 to 1955 at the Dubuque, Iowa factory. The John Deere 40C is the crawler version of the model 40 row crop tractor. Additional information about this toy can be found on page 184 of the 2025 Farm Toy Price Guide published by the National Farm Toy Museum. This is a very nice older, 71 years old, diecast metal replica that would make a great gift or awesome addition to any collection/display. Thanks for looking.
