Vintage 1953 Full Sheet of 24 USA Military Clown Dog Dancer Temporary Tattoos

The 1950s were a time of great change and upheaval in the United States. The country was coming off of World War II, and the Cold War was just beginning. The military was at the forefront of these changes, and American military culture reflected the tensions and uncertainties of the time.

Another major change in American military culture in the 1950s was the rise of the Cold War. The Cold War was a period of tension and rivalry between the United States and the Soviet Union.  The fear of communism was widespread, and the military was seen as a bulwark against the Soviet threat. This led to a great deal of public support for the military, and military service was seen as a patriotic duty.

These classic 1953 temporary tattoos are from the height of the patriotic post WWII boom as seen in movies, TV shows and Radio Plays of the era.  Also shown are clowns, dancers, dogs and sports.

Originally intended for children these classic remembrances are great for display in a man-cave, patriotic themed child's room or office.
