The highly anticipated second volume of the album that looks back on the history of the arcade system board 'Sega System 16', which supported the golden age of 20th-century TV games, will finally be released.
This time, 12 titles released from 1987 to the early 1990s, including 'Altered Beast', 'SHINOBI', and 'Sega Puzzle Game (tentative)', are recorded on 3 CDs in the order they appeared in arcades.
After the release of the previous album, the high-quality recording, which became a big topic, is also realized this time of course. Thanks to the newly developed equipment for this series production, the potential of the FM sound source has been utilized to the maximum. With striking sound quality that overturns the previous beliefs about retro game music albums, which were prone to noise typical of circuit boards, narrow ranges, and muffled or distorted sounds, all games, including works previously released on CD, are completely newly recorded. Enjoy the clear sound quality unique to digital recording, with plenty of volume in 2 loops, 3 CDs.
In this second volume, 'Ace Attacker' and 5 titles out of 12 have their sound sources newly recorded for the first time. 'Heavyweight Champ', produced by Funky K.H, is fully recorded for the first time. As much as possible, precious music pieces such as unused tracks and stereo versions are included. In addition, valuable interviews and comments from developers of System 16 and some composers are also recorded.
