To prime DecoColor markers, first, shake the marker well with the cap on to distribute the pigment inside. Then, press the pen tip down onto a spare piece of paper or a test surface. You may need to apply pressure a few times until the ink starts to flow and saturate the felt tip, at which point the marker is primed and ready for use.
