Dryer Rear Drum Rollers:

  1. Specification: Package includes 2 rollers, 4 tri-rings, 1 retaining washer.
  2. The 349241T Dryer Rear Drum Support Roller Kit allows the dryer to tumble properly by supporting the drum cylinder. The kit includes two drum rollers, four tri-rings, and one palnut (or retaining washer).

Dryer Idler Pulley:

  1. Specification: It keeps tension on the dryer drum belt. It is made of sturdy plastic featuring metal shaft and idler arm.
  2. Dryer Idler Pulley used to keep the tension on the drive belt of the dryer and located between the motor and drum. The Upgrade design replaces some older teflon friction idler pulleys and improve its performance and durability.

Dryer Drum Belt:

  1. Specification: This belt has 4 ribs, 3 grooves. It attaches to the motor pulley and spins the drum as the motor rotates.
  2. The Dryer Drum Belt attaches to the drum, idler pulley, and motor pulley. As the armature of the motor rotates, the belt begins to move and turns the drum.
  3. Multi Rib Belt is 1/4" wide, and 92 1/4 inches in length, features 4 ribs and 3 grooves, however it replaces a wide variety of belts including wider styles that had five ribs and four grooves.

Fix the following symptoms:

  • Dryer won't tumble
  • Dryer not drying properly
  • Dryer no heat
  • Dryer was squeaking and making slight knocking noise
  • Dryer Rollers worn and making noise, or stopped turning

PRODUCT INSTALLATION:

  • Vacuum accumulated lint inside the dryer, taking care not to damage or disconnect any wiring from electrical parts.
  • Remove support brace(if so equipped) from left-hand support roller.
  • Remove triangular rings from shafts by using a screwdriver to pry the ring off the shaft, and remove the rollers.
  • Install new rollers. Reinstall support brace. New triangular rings and clip are provided in kit.
  • Install the new idler pulley into the baseplate by positioning it in slots aligned with the motor pulley.
  • Check the wear on the white plastic ring inside the drum opening. If extreme wear is noticeable, replace ring.
  • Place the new belt around the drum with the grooves facing the drum.
  • Install the drum and make sure it is resting on the support rollers.
  • Pass the free loop of the belt through the idler bracket and under the pulley. The belt is then looped over the motor pulley.
