At Arrowhead Stadium in the decade of the 1990's. The Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders lost every away game
including a playoff game in K.C.. In early 2000 (first game of the Millennium), the Raiders finally got the monkey
off their back and beat the Chiefs in Arrowhead.
knocking Kansas City out of the playoffs. Historical Game and maybe the greatest
regular season rushing touchdown by an Oakland Raiders player, Tyrone Wheatley. 26-yard bulldozer.
This led Oakland to beat the Chiefs 6 of the next 7 games as the Raiders headed to Super Bowl XXXVII.
12-Consective Losses at Arrowhead from 1989-1999
This game made every Raiders fan sick to their guts until the final kick. Over a decade of close game
losses to Kansas City and being called quitters... the RIVALRY JUST EXPLODED!
The Seahawks and Chiefs were 9-6, Seattle Wins they win the AFC West. The Chiefs Win & Seattle Loses
the Chiefs win the AFC West. SEATTLE LOSES! Chiefs own their own destiny.
Raider Nation is punching the air they want this game so bad... it starts out
with the Raiders going 3 & out, they punt and K.C. returns it for a Touchdown.... 0-7! Then Raiders come out and Rich Gannon
throws a Pick-6 and just 2-minutes and 15-seconds in... it's now 0-14. Raiders fans aren't even done
with their second beer. Chiefs Kickoff, Gannon throws a terrible,
terrible pass... Chiefs pick it off which leads to a field goal. 0-17!!! Every RAIDERS FAN IS SICK TO THEIR GUTS!
Many smash their TV's or shut it off and head outside... I'll leave it from there for you to watch the highlights, including
the crucial, crucial 4th & 13 pass to Tim Brown in the waning seconds to send Joe Nedney out to tie the game
38-38 to send it to Overtime after Chiefs missed a game winning Field Goal.
