A antique hand carved Meerschaum Plaque of the Crucifixion of Christ, signed by its French maker - J REVILLON. It has been skilfully and intricately carved in a Bas-relief style, with deep under-carving and small details, including horses Reins, Snake and a Memento Mori Skull.
The wooden frame measures approx 43 cm high x 36.5 cm wide x 10 cm deep and the oval shaped domed glass is approx 27.5 cm high x 21 cm wide. It dates to the mid 1800's and is in good condition. Please see photos.
