Inside the Prayer Wheel House
Each prayer wheel has a unique printed mantra that is folded and rolled up into the cylinder. Mantras are short Buddhist invocations.

In order to be effective, the consecration of the mantra sheets required a blessing.

The prayer wheel spins when moved in circular movement as it rotates on a metal pin attached to the wooden handle.

The buddhist monks would read the mantras in the scripture while spinning the wheel to release the prayer into the air and out to the world.
