This hand-written fragment is approximately 250-300 years old and made from Deer skin. This Scroll came from Morocco with the immigrants to Israel at the establishment of the state. it is prized for its beauty of its soft deer parchment and its beautiful writing. The scroll has a beautiful warm golden brown color, like scrolls that come from early North African origins. This deep color is due to the process used in making the scroll, this process ages to a deeper brown color over the centuries. The story of the waters of a quarrel: Miriam the prophetess is dead, and the people complain about the lack of water. God commands Moses to speak to the rock in order to bring out water. Moses, in his anger at the Children of Israel, hits the rock and takes out water. God states that Moses and Aaron sinned in this parasha, and therefore will not enter the land of Israel.
Moshe asks the king of Edom to pass through his land; The king of Edom refuses and the people of Israel circumvent the land of Edom.
The death of Aaron the priest; Elazar his son inherits the role of the High Priest.
The story of the copper snake: The soul of the people is short of the road crazy and they complain about the lack of water and their food. God sends serpents to the people. To overcome the snakes, God commands Moses to make a copper snake.
