Original pressing of the Church of Satan leader's organ mass
San Francisco, CA: Murgenstrumm, 1968. Original pressing. (Typo with LaVey described as a “physical researcher” and not a psychical researcher on the rear cover.) Vinyl LP. Very Good+ with light wear but no deep scratches in a Very Good sleeve, bright with some edge wear and bumping to corners, stamp on rear cover. Original plain inner sleeve bears the stamps of Randall Alfred, who joined the Church of Satan in 1968 as a participant observer for research, and became a significant member. His report, "The Church of Satan," is a chapter in the 1976 book, The New Religious Consciousness, edited by Charles Y. Glock and Robert N. Bellah. When Alfred confessed to LaVey that he'd joined for research purposes, LaVey's response was that practicing deception in order to gain wisdom was perfectly in accord with church doctrine.
