The coin is dated 2019, weighs one ounce of fine silver, and has a large 50 mm diameter.  The coin is legal tender in Solomon Islands with a face value of 5 dollars. HST/GST exempt.    

The coin features an image of a shark and in the background their native habitat. Next to the shark is a precise cut-out in the shape of a full image shark. A privy mark of the country, Australia is also included.
