A for ambience

Of course, Peters Brauhaus is a real Cologne brewery and looks like one (rhymes!). However, it is a very special Cologne brewery and looks accordingly original: six individually designed rooms are testament to this. But our decorations, which change according to the seasons and occasions, also aim to reward the eye for looking. In other words: comfort, cleanliness and rusticity are our top priority; but so is modernity, flat screens in our toilets, WiFi everywhere. Our polished maple tables, on the other hand, are timelessly rustic and modern (doesn't rhyme, mixes!).

B like confessional

This is where our chairman sits. So that he can see everything, the confessional is strategically placed at the entrance and allows an excellent all-round view. Our chair man welcomes you, leads you to your - hopefully - reserved table and says goodbye to you at the end. Because:

SERVICE is very important to him and to us. That's why he is happy to receive praise and, most of the time, criticism. Feel free to confess...

C like Colonia

Part of the name that the ancient Romans gave to this, their most beautiful non-Roman settlement. Since then, the name has been binding! To what? To a "live and let live" spirit of libertas coloniensis, as the old (!) Roman would have put it. The young Roman and with him the Rhinelander in general and the Cologner in particular would put it like this: "Everyone is different! And that's a good thing!"

D like Düsseldorf

"There is no further news."

E for Eau de Cologne

It doesn't really belong here, but it does refer to Cologne's cosmopolitanism and therefore does belong here. Our guests come from all over the world (we have counted 128 countries to date), and since we are a cosmopolitan establishment, they are not only welcome, they are warmly welcomed! We even managed to come to terms with Napoleon... When was that? In the year 4711 after the invention of Glockengasse!

F for family business

Yes, yes, the German middle class often has a tough time - but that's not what this is about at all! This is about the Peters family and their love of Kölsch, Cologne and Cologne's brewery culture. In 1994, this love became the Peters Brauhaus and the Peters Brauhaus became a family business where everyone can really feel at home. The businessman and master brewer Hans Peters and his managing director implement a concept here every day that sounds harmless but seems revolutionary in Cologne: We are the friendly brewery!

G like Garden

It's not just millions of German home builders who have a garden, no, Peters Brauhaus does too! And what a garden - it's located in the heart of Cologne, on the corner of Alter Markt and Müllejaß. But that's not all. Anyone sitting here enjoys: the sky, the trees, life, the view of the Gaffel beer garden.

H like Hahn, halve

"Dutch cheese with roll / Fromage de Hollande et pistolet" is the translation in our Fooderkaat. "Pistolet" sounds dangerous - in contrast to

"Röggelchen". No matter, the main thing is that it's delicious!

I like Imis

In reference to a formulation that can already be described as classic, one could say: All people are immigrants - almost everywhere! In other words: immigrants are newcomers, Cologne residents, guests, friends of the city, in short: almost real Cologners. And why is that important?

Quite simply: because the Cologners are the best! (Or rather, they think they are the best). They're carnival-goers!

J like Jobs

After what we have said so far, it will not surprise you that so many people love our brewery. As guests, as regulars and as regulars at the table.

But that's not all; almost as many people also want to work at Peters Brauhaus - as permanent staff, so to speak. You too? Please get in touch!

K like Köbes

Just as in Cologne you don't just celebrate Carnival or go to a church at Christmas - admittedly a very large one - you are not served by just any waiter or waitress in the brewery, but by his Excellency, the Köbes! The Köbes is called Köbes because that is the short form of St. James and the pilgrims on the Way of St. James used to work in Cologne...it's a long story...

L like Delicious

Delicious, the speciality weeks that spread throughout the year in Peters Brauhaus: cabbage, fish, tarte flambée, strawberry & rhubarb, asparagus, herring, mushroom weeks, scavenger hunt, Dolle Knolle, Bavarian speciality weeks, game weeks, kale, goose season... And what's for dinner today? Something particularly delicious!

Mhhhh!

Continuation of "L" for delicious: mussels "Rhineland style" (delicious!), thrush broth or blanket bunne with bacon or simply Levverwoosch, Cologne caviar or Krüstchen goulash with Röggelchen! Isn't something missing? And yes - see: "P"! Cheers!

N for Nope!

No! Non! You won't get an answer like that from us! Because we are the friendly brewery and friendly people never say "no!", but at most: "Good idea, I'll have to suggest that to my boss right away!" Or: "Yes, we can do that!" (But don't do that!)
