(48)  This listing is for a beautiful Antique (c late 1800s / early 1900s) Heavyweight Medium Size, Circular Silver Plated Drinks Tray / Serving Platter, marked 'C J & Co' - 'Christopher Johnson & Co' of Portobello Rd, Sheffield. 1868 - 1939, after which time the term 'Ltd' was added to it's marks. It is 29.3cm diameter, it has an undecorated base, a raised flat rim, and an ornate, almost rope pattern edge. It is in exceptionally good condition, and it would make an impressive item of dinner party serving ware. Some of the photos show what would appear to be marks on the tray, but they are just reflections from the room.
