Fountain and Ballpoint Pen Set in Bordeaux/Gold (small size), 14K Fine Nib, models 114R and 116R; made in Germany. Includes Service Guide and Gift-Box. This is a genuine product.
Condition Notes:
1) This pen set is in overall very good, unused condition. There is subtle handling wear but nothing offensive. Clip plating exhibits faint micro-scratching but remains quite glossy. Fountain pen section shows the typical marks from capping. No chips or cracks. The nib designation sticker is still on the barrel.
2) Does not include demonstration cartridge. Includes what is believed to be the original starter cartridge, for collectible purposes as it is mostly evaporated (it may be reconstituted with distilled water or diluting solution using a syringe, if desired). Ballpoint includes a newer blue refill that writes at present but may not have continued performance.
3) Box has structural damage, so well as age-related wrinkling to the lid wrapping. Unfortunately, one of the four tabs that stop the lid was snapped off. The tab has since been glued back in place with cyanoacrylate. The repair may or may not last as the tab is a very small piece without any bracing. This is regrettably a common failure with these boxes and care should be used when closing them, so well has not storing under heavy items.
4) Unknown age. Both instruments feature the Pix inscription under the clip, which was first introduced in 1997. Box was introduced in 1995.
