Simple Repair Guide

If you're experiencing issues with first, second, third, and reverse gears, it's likely due to a worn-out bushing in the gear linkage. This is a common and straightforward fix.

Tools Needed:

Phillips screwdriver
Replacement bushings
Steps to Repair:

Access the Gear Linkage

Remove the couple of Phillips screws holding the center console in place.
Slide the console back to reveal the gear linkage.

Remove the Old Bushings

Locate the bushings at ends of the linkage.
The old bushings are usually broken and can be pushed out easily.

Install the New Bushings

Push the new bushings into the linkage with slight pressure.
Ensure they fit snugly and are properly seated.

Reassemble the Console
