Tuborg is a Danish brewing company founded in 1873 on a harbour in Hellerup, to the north of Copenhagen, Denmark. Since 1970 it has been part of the Carlsberg Group.
Production at the original location in Hellerup continued until it was closed in the 1990s. Since then Tuborg has been brewed at the Carlsberg Brewery in Copenhagen and at Carlsberg's Fredericia Brewery in Jutland, which today is the only brewery in Denmark brewing Tuborg.
The phrase "Probably the best lager in the world" is a famous slogan used by Carlsberg, a Danish brewery, for many years, though they have since changed their marketing approach. Carlsberg's Slogan:
