Fabulous Victorian Copeland (Spode) Fleur-De-Lis Teapot - Purple 1852 2.5 Pints

This wonderful teapot in the original Fleur-de-lis (Fleur-de-lys) pattern. It is marked with he registered design diamond for the 4th August 1852. The backstamp is contemporary with this and was used between 1851-85. It is decorated in purple/mauve fleur-de-lis with a lovely split handle and both handle and spout are gilded. The fleur-de-lis pattern was reproduced by Spode in the second half of the 20th century based upon the original design.

Will hold 2 1/2 pints but is probably a 2 pint teapot.

I will also be listing a matching cake plate in the same pattern.

I have included a number of photos and these probably describe the item better than I can and form part of the description. Everyone has different considerations when purchasing items and if you need any further information, please feel free to contact me and I will try to help.

Condition: This is in an incredibly good condition for age, the are two tiny nicks to the underside of the rim of the lid, a little stain mark internally and some staining around the internal filter. Free of any other chips, cracks or crazing. A little loss of gilding but displays really well.

Size: 25cm spout to handle, 16cm wide, 16.3cm high, 1003grams.

Please feel free to ask any questions but please please ask through Ebay. Unfortunately, selling on Ebay generates a lot of spam and dubious emails and we now only respond to questions placed directly through Ebay. We will try to answer questions as soon as possible. There are times where we may not be able to reply within 24 hours but we will reply well before the listing ends.

Packing - We pack to ensure the item arrives with you undamaged. If you have specific packing instructions, please contact us before paying as this may have an impact on the price, as both an increase in weight or size can increase the cost of delivery.

We do try to recycle boxes and other materials wherever possible and will mostly use newspaper for padding out, if it does not have any impact on the cost of postage.
