Antique Silver Gilt Brooch with Mediterranean Coral, c.1890s

An antique silver gilt brooch, set with four rows of Mediterranean salmon corals, arranged in an asymmetric bow shape. The original C-clasp is intact on the reverse. The coral beads are securely threaded onto wires, which are firmly soldered to the sides, ensuring stability and durability.

The brooch consists of three rows of 16 corals and one row of 15, making a total of 63 coral beads. Marked 830 on the reverse, suggesting a probable German origin, dating to c.1890s.

Condition

Very good antique condition. Some wear to the gilt, slight unevenness in the pin, and tiny holes in some of the coral beads, commensurate with age.
