Vintage high gloss enamel and sterling silver shield-shaped charm purchased in early 1950s during US Army aviator's tour of duty in Post-WW2 Europe.
- WEIGHT approx 1.1 grams
- SIZE approx 5/8" x 1/2"
- Brightly colored, hand painted high gloss enamel depicts the historic coat of arms of Strasbourg. Strasbourg is a city in northeastern France on the Rhine River, close to the German border. Interestingly the charm misspells the city name, presumably catering to American tourists' tendency to "Americanize" place names.
- Signed & Marked "800 REU." indicating it is 80% pure silver and was made by The Fritz Reu Co, a German manufacturer of jewelry and souvenirs.
- Silver Jump Ring Included
