This is a lovely antique sterling silver mesh purse with an engraved floral decoration on the frame. The purse has no maker’s mark, but is lightly stamped “5784.”  The inside of the frame is also engraved “Frances Miller Cabell” (the owner) and the outside is unobtrusively engraved “FMC”. The purse measures 6.5 inches wide (at the top of the frame). The sterling mesh bag hangs 5.5 inches down from the frame. The overall measurement is 12.5 inches from the top of the chain handle to the bottom of the wire bag. The purse weighs 240 grams. The purse is in very good condition with no apparent snagging or holes to the wire mesh.
