Elmer Guitar Drill Jig/Guide for Pin Mounted Tuners

This Drill Jig for Pin Mounted Guitar Tuners removes the need for measuring and marking holes and provides you an accurate guide for drilling the locator holes that pins fit into when using pin mounted guitar tuners like modern Fender tuners, Sperzel, Schaller M6 Pin and many machine heads used on Squier and other guitars made in East Asia.

The guide block has a collar which fits into modern 10 mm tuner post holes on the back of the guitar's headstock, a thumbscrew on the front of the headstock passes through the tuner post hole into the block to tighten it in place, a conical guide on the front of the peg head ensures the jig self centres on the tuner post hole. There are two guide blocks included which can be fixed together with the included bar to ensure the guide blocks are parallel to each other (the fixing bar has a slot to allow adjustment for different tuner spacings). The fixing bar can be mounted on the side or front edge of the guide block allowing you to drill both 6 in line tuners and 3 x 3 tuners perfectly straight with each other (and lets you drill two tuners at once). The guide not only keeps your hand drill vertical as you drill the pin holes but ensures the perfect distance from the tuner post hole as well. There are six holes in the guide to cover the most common configurations of pin mounted guitar tuners (two pin Fender, one pin Sperzel etc. see), please test on scrap to ensure proper alignment before drilling your headstock. The guide block is made from machined aluminium with a black anodised finish for durability.
