This is the real deal!  A  vintage black overcoat made from 100% Loro Piana cashmere. 

The fabric is in excellent condition except at the lower right front hem where it was probably caught in a car door, and there is expected wear at the sleeve hems.  All damage to the hems have been professionally repaired, see last four photos for the resulting repairs.

The lining is in like new condition, except at the lower right front hem as described above. There is a welted breast pocket on the right (perfect for cell phones) and a patch pocket on the lower left side (snacks?newspapers?)

The coat is double-breasted with six matching buttons on the shell front and one on the inside to keep the underlap secure.  The peak lapels are still crisp and hold their original shape.  There is visible hand stitching at the undercollar and the sleeve armholes.

The outside pockets are welted and flapped, with deep flannel pocket bags.

There is a union made label in the lining breast pocket, indicating that it was made in New York City for Saks Fifth Avenue, and therefore a bona fide vintage overcoat.

This coat has had the size tag removed at some point, but the measurements indicate a size 46 extra long sleeves.  For the right person, the sleeves can be shortened, but often wool coat sleeves are too short when worn with a suit.

This beautiful cashmere coat is for that discerning individual that only wants the best.  It can be worn with pride and to provide protection from the elements, might as well be protected in style and elegance!
