by Dale Carnegie
Scarce first edition, first printing
New York: Simon and Schuster, 1936. First edition, first printing. x, 337, [5] pp. Bound in publisher's pinkish-red cloth stamped in gilt, lacking the dust jacket. Near Fine with light rubbing to extremities and light soiling to spine and textblock edges. Contents lightly toned, highlighting to some chapters. Original comment postcard laid in. A very nice copy.
Carnegie's self-help classic has been a bestseller for generations, but it began with a small initial print run of just 3,000 copies. First printings are consequently scarce.
