This antique FanB (pre-Effanbee) baby doll is an incredible collector toy made of composition and cloth. It is an original production of the 1920s. This doll has a brown caracul wig glued over molded hair line and clear amber Sleep eyes. She has a wooden flange attached head for easy neck movement and interior disc jointed 360° articulating arms. Her body is tightly stuffed and she sits up nicely on her bumm.
She's been kept neatly in a doll case for decades and shows minimal aging - a few slight chips / cracks in her paint and a little thread unraveling near her shoulders.
This predecessor to the Sweetie Pie baby doll is sought after by Effanbee collectors.
The doll is an extremely early example of EFFANBEE production and part of the United States doll making history.
