Pull string is present but does not have a ring on the end of the string. When string is pulled Big Bird says different phrases including:

“I Love You Very Much”

“Hi, I’m Big Bird”

“Want some Bird Feed”

The voice box is working when string is pulled. The above listed are just 3 of the phrases he says.

He is surface wash only. No rips or tears. Care tag is attached. He does have some grayish looking marks on his yellow beak that could possibly be washed off.
