The alarm clock works, the alarm goes off with "beep" noise.  It is clean, no major scratches.  The battery compartment is clean, comes with AAA battery.  The back of the clock has a spring, please check out the photos, not sure what it supposed to do.  The alarm clock stays up with the top plate on top of it (see pictures).  What you see is what you will get.
