Vintage 1940s Indy 500 Cast Aluminum Streamlined Boat Tail Toy Race Racer Car 9"

Beautiful toy, the outside is silky smooth from age!  It measures 9" and is in excellent condition.  It is unmarked except for a # 2 mold mark on the underside.  I can't quite read the lettering on the wheels but they may say Marx, so the wheels may not be original.   A couple of the wheels have small chips out of them, the car still rolls nice and looks great.  I can't find any evidence that this toy was ever painted except for the drivers area and on the bottom.  Please see all the pictures to help determine condition as they are part of the description.
