The "Shun" brand is one of KAI's representative high-end knife brands, created with the concept of "tools to enjoy the changing seasons," offering a variety of series to suit different lifestyles.
The all-rounder chef's knife is in the same shape as the commonly known "gyuto." It has a longer blade of about 200mm, suitable for cutting muscle and fibrous foods, and can also be used for chopping vegetables by swinging the handle and tip like a pendulum.
The blade is characterized by its beautiful wood-grain-like pattern, made using a 33-layer Damascus material. Along with the black handle, it exudes a heavy sense reminiscent of Japanese swords.
The core material uses high-hardness VGMax, allowing for a smooth cutting experience with less blade tip friction, providing durability and a long-lasting sharp edge without damaging the fibers of food.
The handle is shaped in a D-shape design for easy grip, employing Pakkawood, a strong layered reinforced wood material.
