Item Description
With even the EWS race courses getting tougher and tougher and tougher and tire manufacturers offering strong tires in 2-35" 2.5" sizes, the demand for a wide, tough wheel came up and DT Swiss responded by developing the xm481 rims. It generates grip where you need it the most and is a wheel for those hunting after the toughest of tracks. Strong, lightweight and tough as nails the xm481 + 370 are ready for just about anything.
Equipped with 21mm high and 35mm wide, tubeless ready aluminum rims with an internal width of 30mm, DT competition® spokes, 6 bolt disc mount in and 370 based with 18T ratchet system.
The rear wheel comes with a Shimano 9/10/11-speed freehub body or Sram XD 11/12 speed. Also Shimano Microspline 12 is available.
Straightpull Technology
The term straightpull refers to spokes with no bend at the head. This design allows for an ideal strength to weight ratio when compared to conventional spokes. Due to their more precise alignment and direct trajectory, straight-pull spoke technology creates a stiffer, more responsive wheel.
SBWT® Welded Rim
The welding process creates the most precise, lightweight and strong rim connection possible. After welding, the seam is smoothened to guarantee a perfect tire fit.
Ratchet System®
This patented freewheel system uses precision ratchets, featuring extremely high load capacity and reliability. The no tool concept allows for an easy execution of routine maintenance.

Wheels are shipped in a custom wheel box, insuring that they will arrive to you safe-and-sound. This builder allows you to build a complete wheel set, or a single front/rear wheel if desired.
